Breakdowns of ICE Detainers

As I said earlier, here are the breakdowns by country of Oregon DOC inmates with current ICE holds -

** Country Data obtained from DOC is the information provided by the inmate upon intake into DOC. Unknown (in my correctional experience) indicates the inmate was unwilling to provide the information. All three inmates listed as United States have Hispanic sir names.

With those from Mexico being the largest group, here are some of the crimes they are incarcerated for -

Murder
Manslaughter
Kidnapping
Felony DUI
Burglary
Conspiracy
Assault
Rape
Robbery
Sex Crimes
Weapons

Whats the conclusion?

Simple, by SECURING the border we would have easily elimiated half to three-fourths of the ICE holds on those from Mexico. We would have saved untold millions... prosecution costs, costs to the victims, families, friends and society, and the costs of incarceration.
